About the role
This is a newly created position based in Hamilton. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is the perfect time to join a team focused on social responsibility and community service. You will play a pivotal role in:

  • Driving performance excellence through the creation and monitoring of financial and non-financial measures.
  • Ensuring the financial integrity of the collective through the development of budget and forecasting processes, supporting effective business planning and decision making.
  • Leading day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities, ensuring best practices are in place.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams, and partnering with community groups, auditors, advisers and relevant agencies to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to protect business interests, provide assurance and minimise risk.
Skills and experience
Our ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience in a financial management role with the knowledge and insights to provide assurance.
  • Strong commercial/ business acumen and a genuine curiosity to contribute to the overall organisational culture.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to analyse and distil complex matters.
  • Able to draw on own experience in financial reporting and management to ensure effective and efficient delivery of functional responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, and excellent organisation skills
  • Curious nature with an ability to adapt to changing requirements within the organisation.
