Moo te tuunga | About the role
The primary function of the Workforce and Community Lead is to build the capacity of POU Limited and expand business opportunities within the local Raahui Pookeka community and wider districts.
Key responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively and collectively with the POU Limited Leadership Team to establish and manage a POU Limited workforce development framework or future planning, growth, and acquisition.
  • Work collaboratively and collectively with the site leaders and POU Limited leadership team.
  • Identify internal and external opportunities to expand the POU Limited workforce.
  • Oversee project planning and budget forecasting.
  • Build, nurture, and strengthen community and stakeholder relationships.
  • Facilitate regular community engagements for collaboration and expanding partnerships with local entities, schools, and beyond.
  • To contribute to a team culture that creates opportunities for future generations.
Ngaa puukenga me ngaa wheako | Skills and experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience or relevant qualifications in Team, people, and culture management.
  • Understanding of te reo me ona tikanga and a te ao Maaori worldview.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and relationships.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven facilitation skills.
This is a salaried position from Monday to Friday on-site predominantly at the Huntly Power Station.
